The Bedford PTG is excited to host this family-friendly colorful event in the Bedford community. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us at Bedford High School on Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 for our Color Blast Fun Run/Walk beginning at 9:30AM…It’s not about how fast you are but how colorful you will become!

WHAT IS A COLOR BLAST?  The PTG Color Blast is a 2 mile family-friendly FUN run/walk. Be prepared to dance, twirl, run, skip, walk and stroll through color stations where you will be “blasted” with color powder. Be sure to wear white and expect to finish looking like a colorful work of art. 

WHY A COLOR BLAST? The PTG wanted to host a family-friendly, community event that would be loads of fun! Proceeds from this event will help advance the mission of the PTG of supporting students, staff and families by providing enriching activities in the schools and for the community. ALL PROCEEDS GO BACK TO THE SCHOOLS!!

HOW DO I REGISTER?   Click HERE to Register online. ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES WEDNESDAY, MAY 29TH. Day of Registration opens at 8am on BHS/RAL campus.

WHAT IS THE COST TO REGISTER? The cost of the fun run is $25 for adult; $5 for children age 10 & under. You can also purchase a Color Blast T-shirt and “Swag Bag” for an additional $12. AFTER MAY 3rd, T-SHIRTS AND SWAG BAGS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. Registration after May 3rd will be $30/adult and $10/age 10 & under. ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES WEDNESDAY, MAY 29TH. Registrations will be taken on the day of for $35/adult and $10/age 10 & under (cash/check/credit card). 

WHAT COMES IN THE “SWAG BAG”? A swag bag includes one Color Blast T-shirt, one pair of sunglasses, a bandana, and an individual packet of color for the start of race, in a reusable drawstring bag.

CAN I PICK UP MY BIB & SWAG BAG BEFORE JUNE 2nd? We will have a early bib pick-up on Friday, May 31st at McKelvie Intermediate School from  4p.m. – 7p.m., at the County Road entrance under the canopy. We will not be taking new registrations at this time. Race day registration will open at 8:00a.m. at BHS/RAL campus.

WILL THE RACE BE TIMED? Though all runners will have bibs, this event is a fun run/walk and therefore will NOT be timed. We know some folks like to see their finishing time so we will have a clock available at the start/finish line. No awards for finishing places will be given out.

VOLUNTEERS: Many volunteers are needed to make this event successful. Volunteer for the entire event or just a few hours. Click HERE to see the volunteer opportunities.  

SPONSORS: We are looking for financial support from local businesses. We are offering some great ways to get your name out into the community. Click HERE for a list of sponsorship levels and benefits. A donation of at least $250 will get you a spot on our  participant event t-shirts and on our website.

RAFFLE: Through the generous donation of our sponsors we will have some great raffle items. Tickets are $1 each or 20 for $10 and will be available at early bib pick up on May 31st and at the event on June 2nd. You do not need to be present to win, we will draw the winners at the end of the race.

“FINISH FESTIVAL” – Post Color Blast Fun Run:  After the race, continue the party at the side lot of the BHS/RAL campus. We will have music, face painting, balloon creations, a spot to take photos and we’ll announce the raffle winners. Fun treats available for purchase (cash only) from:
