The Bedford PTG is excited to host this family-friendly colorful event in the Bedford community. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us at Bedford High School on Sunday, MAY 31, 2020 for our Color Blast Fun Run/Walk beginning at 9:30AM…It’s not about how fast you are but how colorful you will become!
WHAT IS A COLOR BLAST? The PTG Color Blast is a 2 mile family-friendly FUN run/walk to support the Bedford Schools. Be prepared to dance, twirl, run, skip, walk and stroll through color stations where you will be “blasted” with color powder. Be sure to wear white and expect to finish looking like a colorful work of art.

WHAT IS THE COST TO REGISTER? The cost of the fun run is $25 for adult; $5 for children age 10 & under. You can also purchase a Color Blast T-shirt and “Swag Bag” for an additional $12. AFTER MAY 6th, T-SHIRTS AND SWAG BAGS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. Registration after May 6th will be $30/adult and $10/age 10 & under. ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES THURSDAY, MAY 28TH. Registrations will be taken on the day of for $35/adult and $10/age 10 & under (cash/check ONLY).
WHAT COMES IN THE “SWAG BAG”? A swag bag includes one Color Blast T-shirt, one pair of sunglasses, a bandana, and an individual packet of color for the start of race, all in a reusable drawstring bag.
CAN I PICK UP MY BIB & SWAG BAG BEFORE MAY 31ST? We will have a early bib pick-up on Friday, May 29th at McKelvie Intermediate School from 4p.m. – 7p.m., at the County Road entrance under the canopy. We will not be taking new registrations at this time. Race day registration will open at 8:00a.m. at BHS/RAL campus.
WILL THE RACE BE TIMED? Though all runners will have bibs, this event is a fun run/walk and therefore will NOT be timed…it is more about the Fun than the Run. No awards for finishing places will be given out.
VOLUNTEERS: Many volunteers are needed to make this event successful. Volunteer for the entire event or just a few hours. Click HERE to volunteer.
SPONSORS: We are looking for financial support from local businesses. We are offering some great ways to get your name out into the community. Click HERE for a list of sponsorship levels and benefits. A donation of at least $250 will get you a spot on our participant event t-shirts and on our website. All proceeds go back to the Bedford schools.
RAFFLE: Through the generous donation of our sponsors we will have some great raffle items. Tickets are $1 each or 20 for $10 and will be available at early bib pick up on May 29th and at the event on May 31st. You do not need to be present to win, winners will be drawn at the end of the race.
“FINISH FESTIVAL” – Post Color Blast Fun Run: After the race, continue the party at the side lot of the BHS/RAL campus. We will have music, food face painting, balloon creations, a spot to take photos and we’ll announce the raffle winners.
