The Bedford PTG is one of the many sponsors for Stand By Me, a day long conference of workshops, held in the spring, for all Ross A. Lurgio seventh grade students and their parents/guardians that focuses on helping them navigate the road to adulthood.  

The event features more than thirty workshops that will address topics including conflict resolution, drug and alcohol awareness, peer relationships, family dynamics, and internet safety. College professors, motivational speakers, authors, educators, and healthcare professionals will lead these workshops. Stand By Me is a program designed to provide parents/guardians and their seventh grade students with a unique opportunity to share time together, improve communication, and get a better understanding of each other.
