A Hope-Filled Perspective: Traversing the Path Forward presented by John Hamilton.

Monday January 9th, 7pm Lurgio Media Center
One in three kids under age 18 experience hopelessness on a weekly basis (per DHHS). 538 BHS students reported “feeling sad/helpless (almost every day for 2 or more weeks in a row so that they stopped doing some usual activities) in the past 12 months” (per 2021 Youth Risk Behavior Survey results).

Come learn why a HOPE-centered environment is important. Hope is much more than wishful thinking. Science tells us that it is the most predictive indicator of well-being in a person’s life. Hope is measurable. It is malleable. And it changes lives. Hope improves behavior issues, participation challenges, and achievement gaps.

John Hamilton leads the largest out-of-school time learning program for children and teens impacted by domestic violence and abuse in the United States. With two decades of youth development experience, his voice and perspective helps restore belief in the future, guide us to discover the possibilities ahead, and offer hope to young people. John is a Bedford resident and a father to four girls in the Bedford School District.
