The Bedford PTG is excited to host this family-friendly colorful event in the Bedford community. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us at Bedford High School on Sunday, May 31, 2026 for our Color Blast Fun Run/Walk beginning at 9:30AM…It’s not about how fast you are but how colorful you will become!

WHAT IS A COLOR BLAST?  The PTG Color Blast is a 2 mile family-friendly Fun Run/Walk to support the Bedford Schools. Be prepared to dance, twirl, run, skip, walk and stroll through color stations where you will be “blasted” with color powder. Be sure to wear white and expect to finish looking like a colorful work of art. 

HOW DO I REGISTER? CLICK HERE TO REGISTER (link coming soon). Early registration ends May 8th and online registration closes May 27th. Please note registrations are non-refundable. This event takes place rain or shine. 

WHAT IS THE COST TO REGISTER? The cost of the fun run is $23 for adults; $12 for children age 10 & under. You can also purchase a Color Blast T-shirt and Color Packet through registration until May 8th (see below for more details). Registration after May 8th will be $28/adult and $12/age 10 & under. ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES WEDNESDAY, MAY 27th. Registrations will be taken on the day of for $35/adult and $15/age 10 & under (cash/check/credit card).  Please note registrations are non-refundable. 

DON’T FORGET YOUR EVENT T-SHIRT: Purchase your Color Blast event t-shirt during registration for $10, it’s the perfect tee to get colorful in! T-shirt ordering is only available until FRIDAY, MAY 8th. 

WANT MORE COLOR? Purchase a Color Packet (colors vary) for $3 during registration for the Color Explosion Event Kick Off. Color Packet ordering is only available until FRIDAY, MAY 8th. 

CAN I PICK UP MY BIB & T-SHIRT/COLOR BEFORE THE EVENT? Yes, avoid the lines on event day and come to Early Bib Pick-up on Friday, MAY 29th at McKelvie Intermediate School from 4p.m. – 7p.m., at the County Road entrance under the canopy. We will not be taking new registrations at that time. Race day registration will open at 8:00am at BHS/RAL campus on May 31st.

WILL THE RACE BE TIMED? Though all runners will have bibs, this event is a fun run/walk and therefore will NOT be timed…it is more about the Fun than the Run. No awards for finishing places will be given out.

VOLUNTEERS: Many volunteers are needed to make this event successful. Volunteer for the entire event or just a few hours. Click HERE to Volunteer (link coming soon).

RAFFLE: Through the generous donation of our sponsors, we will have some great raffle items. Tickets are $1 each or 20 for $10 and will be available at early bib pick up on May 29th and at the event on May 31st. You do not need to be present to win, winners will be drawn at the end of the race.

“FINISH FESTIVAL” – Post Color Blast Fun Run:  After the run, the fun continues. We will have music, food, balloon creations, a spot to take photos and we’ll announce the raffle winners.
